What is an art consultant?

 

An experienced art consultant will seamlessly guide, source, and procure artwork for your project resulting in a custom designed space that reflects not only who you are, but also how you want people to feel in your space. Art consultants are typically utilized for corporate offices, hotels, apartment buildings and healthcare facilities.

How much do art consulting services cost?

 

Consultants vary in their fee structure. LAC typically receives trade discounts, so our clients don’t ever pay more than retail. We also have established working relationships within the trade that offer greater discounts due to our volume purchasing which allows us to extend discounts to our clients where applicable. All in all, using an art consultant should not cost you more money and you get the benefit of their knowledge and expertise. 

 

How do we determine an art budget?

 

If you do not have a pre-set budget, we can help you define one by assessing your floors plans +/or space. Once we determine the areas that make the most sense for art, we address things like mediums, sizes and overall number of pieces that will achieve the look and feel you want for your space, and then develop a budget accordingly. 

 

Where are most of your projects?

 

We primarily work within the United States and have projects from east to west coast. We’re currently working on projects outside the US as well. We pride ourselves in the diversity of our projects and locales.

 

Where do you find your artists?

 

We are constantly discovering new artists through our relationships with artists, galleries, and publishers, as well as through various publications, blogs and social media outlets that introduce us to new and often unrepresented artists. All of these approaches supply us with unlimited art sources for our projects. 

 

We do not represent artists, so our resources are unlimited. Finding the best and most appropriate artwork for our clients is paramount to our process. 

 

What other services do you offer?

 

We are quite experienced with inventorying existing collections, developing tagged art plans, custom printing, framing and installations. There is not much we can’t do so all you need to do is ask!
